As a child in 1st grade, I learned how to read and write a little bit later than everyone else. By this, I mean I had a slow start. Once I got the hang of it however, I ran with the skills. By 8th grade I would write 8 page stories in my freetime, and being so young, that was a pretty big deal to me.
However, starting last year, but really kicking into full gear this year, I became challenged as a writer. As I have gotten older, more and more is expected. This past semester has truly challenged me to refine my writing, especially my grammar.
Learning to change long-existing habits has not been easy. To be honest, I'm still not 100% sure what passive voice it. I have had to slow down and really think about what I'm writing. Going at a leisurely speed is never easy for someone like me, but in this case, I'm happy to do so.
I am exceedingly excited to continue improving as a writer and a Literature Arts lover as a whole. There are countless ideas I hope to someday write about, as well as thousands of books I can't wait to experience. My writing is something I hope to continue for the rest of my life.
